From 1973 on, sailing in South Africa on a variety of yachts.

Muira "BAGHEERA". Been cruising on the West Coast
for many years.

I bought my first boat, a Holiday 23 in 2002. Sailed the
H23
from Gordons Bay to Port Owen for Holiday 23 Worlds. Last year
bought
a Sadler 26 ("JOLLY ROGER") in Knysna and
sailed the boat to Goldons Bay. Recently took part in the
Spring
Regatta in Simonstown. Looking forward to my first ocean
sail
to St Helena.
Pieter Van Oudtshoorn (65)
Started sailing in 1984. Did the usual round the Cape
sailing
eg. Double Capes. Ist boat a Flamenca. Progressed to a
Muira
and then an Aluminium L39. Now back to a Muira
"SCAMP"
Sailed a bit in the Med. Spent a few years cruising
between
Cape Town and the Caribbean and then from Cape Town to North
America.
Sue Van Oudtshoorn (?)
Casual sailor, cruiser, galley girl. Have crossed the
Atlantic twice
before. First time in 1994 with husband Pieter and
daughter, Anna.
In 2001 sailed away again with Pieter on L39 via the Caribbean
to
Annapolis, USA. Been back since 2004. I dont get sea sick and
can
bake a mean loaf of bread!
